Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport installing baggage handling upgrade and new 100% hold baggage screening facility in three phases. ECL were responsible for arranging and carrying out prequalification and subsequent administration, claims settlement and commercial management of trade contractors. Seconded as Heery ‘framework’ commercial champion.
Provided senior consultant QS to Sir Robert McApline Limited on the £175 million O2 Arena. Commissioned to carry out a variety of commercial and contractual issues including procurement of packages, bonds and warranties. ECL created the agreed and utilised method of cost reporting and change management for this project and the variation pricing and procurement for SRM on this noteworthy design & build project (formerly known as the Millennium Dome).
Senior Consultant QS preparing loss & expense accounts on the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery in Margate. Presentation of documents and reports with analysis of procured packages on two-stage tender and production of reports on value engineering savings and comparison with the cost plan in £6 million High Court action dispute involving the client designer and Kent County Council.
Syon Park Hilton Hotel in Brentford. Provision of advice and analysis on revised programme for completion. Identification of changed production rates and consequent lost productivity for loss & expense account. Drafting and presenting contractual notices and applications for reimbursement of prolongation costs. The value of the M & E subcontract on this project was £7.5million.
